Many of our textbooks are available to rent. Books may be rented for one semester and must be returned by the Friday of finals week in good condition with all components and very little highlighting or writing. Non-returned rentals will be charged the difference between the retail price and the rental cost, plus a 10% surcharge.

If a book is available for rent, new and used rental prices are listed below the regular retail prices. If no rental prices are listed, then the book is available for purchase only.

To rent a textbook you must be at least 18 years old, be currently enrolled as a student at Michigan Tech, have a valid Michigan Tech ID and have a valid credit card.

Please note that textbooks may be rented for one semester. If you will need the same book the following semester, it is generally cheaper to buy it than to rent it twice.
